Trapping in a Safety Zone

Postby Dale H » Thu Oct 08, 2015 3:20 pm

HB 4239 passed the Senate today and now goes back to the House for concurrence then on for the Governor's signature. It was passed with immediate effect so if all goes well this could be fixed before season starts. This is the bill that fixes the safety zone problem.

HB 4239 is 19 on the house schedule for this week so hopefully by Wednesday it will be voted on. They meet in session Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. If it gets bumped up or down by tomorrow night I will let everyone know

Yesterday they were dealing with the Flint water issue so that was holding a lot up. Hopefully it will be finished in the Legislature today.

House bill 4239 was concurred by the House yesterday 413 voted yes 36 voted no. The bill now goes to the Governor but WILL NOT go into effect until January 1, 2016 no matter when he signs the bill. So this year we will have to deal with the the issue of trapping in a safety zone.
